Manchester-based property development firm Qualis Developments are celebrating their flagship development being shortlisted for two awards. Located in Sheffield, Great Central is Qualis’ first project in the city and was completed in Quarter 4 of last year.
Great Central is a 131-unit development and it is located on the junction of Mowbray Street and Chatham Street in the Neepsend area of Sheffield.
The development has been nominated for two categories in the Insider Media Yorkshire Property Industry Awards – the Design Excellence Award and Residential Development of Year (more than 50 homes).
The annual event will play host to a number of notable companies and figures in the Yorkshire property industry in a prestigious black tie ceremony held in Leeds this September.
Qualis Developments – which is the development arm of the Manchester-based property investment company Knight Knox – launched Great Central in 2017 and was the company’s first development. The £18m development was designed by Coda Architects and the project was overseen by Broadfield Project Management.
Richard Dean of Qualis Developments said “This really is a proud moment for us – Great Central is a truly special project for us. The development has been a real labour of love for us and we couldn’t be happier with the end product.
Considering that this is our first development, the entire process of constructing Great Central has gone – for the most – incredibly well, especially when you consider that we had a global pandemic to contend with in the final lap of the project.
We really believe that Great Central is an excellent addition to the Sheffield skyline, and it’s so rewarding to see it getting this kind of recognition. Of course, winning the titles will be the cherry on top for this fantastic project, but no matter what happens on the night, we’re incredibly pleased with Great Central and how it has been received since its launch.”
The Yorkshire Property Industry Awards hosted by Insider Media will take place on the 30th of September 2021 at the New Dock Hall in Leeds.
