Knight Knox Announces Official Sponsorship of Wythenshawe FC

Knight Knox is proud to announce its official partnership with Wythenshawe FC, one of Greater Manchester’s most community-focused football clubs.

For Knight Knox, this sponsorship reflects a commitment to supporting local communities across Manchester. Having been established in the city for over 21 years, supporting local charities, clubs, and community projects has always been central to who we are, and Wythenshawe FC perfectly embodies the values of community that we champion.

Founded in 1946 as Wythenshawe Lads’ Club, Wythenshawe FC has grown into a thriving organisation with over 1,100 players across all ages and abilities. From toddlers taking their first steps on the pitch to youth squads, men’s and women’s teams, veterans, and walking football, the club provides opportunities for everyone to get involved, stay active, and enjoy the game. Competing across approximately 14 regional leagues, the club continues to nurture future talent while promoting fun, teamwork, and inclusion throughout the community.

Wythenshawe FC has enjoyed remarkable success across all levels of the club. The women’s team won the 2024 – 25 league title and three regional cups, earning promotion to the FA Women’s National League, their first national-level campaign. The men’s first team were 2023 – 24 NWCFL Premier Division champions, reaching the highest level in the club’s history, while the youth and grassroots squads continue to provide opportunities for over 1,100 players, keeping football accessible, inclusive, and fun for all.

The Sunday League veterans’ team, featuring Stephen Ireland, Papiss Cissé, and Danny Drinkwater but to name a few, brings over 1,867 Premier League appearances, 389 international caps, and 15 major honours to the local game. Their recent run of victories has been sensational, including a recent 13-0 triumph, thrilling fans and contributing to a feel-good factor across the community.

Andy Phillips, Managing Director at Knight Knox, said:

“Being part of Manchester for more than two decades has given us the opportunity to support so many initiatives. Wythenshawe FC is a shining example of what makes local communities so special. We’re proud to be part of their journey – from the youngest players on the pitch to the men’s and women’s first teams, and right through to the Sunday League veterans – and invite everyone to come and experience the club’s talent and spirit.”
