Knight Knox duo take the Strictly crown
A dancing duo from property investment consultants Knight Knox have been crowned the winners in the 2024 Strictly Learn To Dance for Bolton Hospice.
Olivia Berry and Olly Nugent, who both work at the property firm, rehearsed for 12 weeks before the live event, held at Bolton Wanderers’ Toughsheet Stadium in front of a live audience of more than 500 people. They competed against 18 other couples before judges, including BBC Radio 1’s Vicky Hawkesworth.
The pair raised over £2,500, with the event overall raising more than £35,000.
Their fundraising activity comes during Knight Knox’s 20th year of business, during which it is aiming to raise £20,000 for charitable causes. The company is supporting three charity partners – Forever Manchester, Wooden Spoon, and the Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball – along with supporting smaller charities which are close to the team, including Bolton Hospice.
Olivia said: “It was a dream come true to dance in front of an audience, and to take home the top prize was really incredible. Olly and I had practised for months before the live show, but we never expected to win! We’re so pleased to have been able to support the amazing work that Bolton Hospice does and to have raised £2,500 towards this incredible charity.”
The duo danced the salsa to be crowned overall winners.
Andy Phillips, managing director at Knight Knox, added: “The whole team is so proud of Olivia and Olly; it’s such an amazing achievement to have won the Strictly title in aid of Bolton Hospice, and the business is delighted to support their fundraising.”
