Knight Knox Announced as Sole Headline Sponsor for the Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball 2024
Following the resounding success of last year’s record-breaking Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball, where Knight Knox proudly served as a joint headline sponsor, we are delighted to be taking on the exclusive role of sole headline sponsor for this year’s event, on 16th November. The previous ball, held at the Hilton Hotel on Deansgate, Manchester, raised an unprecedented £1,063,872 last year in support of charitable causes.
Last year’s star-studded gala featured a glamorous assembly of celebrities from the realms of TV, music, and sports. The evening included captivating live performances by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and The Overtones, as well as a Moulin Rouge tribute, adding a touch of spectacle to the glittering ball. Notable attendees included former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, Hi-de-Hi’s Su Pollard, and Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Bryan Robson.
The generosity of the guests played a pivotal role in the night’s success, with a live auction hosted by Happy Radio DJ Darren Proctor & Michael Josephson raising hundreds of thousands of pounds. Notable bids included £40,000 for afternoon tea with Joanna Lumley and substantial amounts for a signed Ed Sheeran guitar and exclusive experiences.
Andy Phillips, Managing Director of Knight Knox, expressed pride in the company’s role as headline sponsor for this year’s event, stating, “Building upon the remarkable success of last year’s Michael Josephson MBE Charity Ball, where Knight Knox proudly served as a joint headline sponsor and contributed to raising over £1 million, it is with great enthusiasm that we step into the spotlight this year as the sole headline sponsor.”
“Michael’s dedication to supporting young and underprivileged individuals in the Greater Manchester area resonates deeply with Knight Knox’s values as a Manchester-based company, and it is both a personal and professional privilege for me to have the opportunity to support this truly incredible event.”
